Con los nombres como Sporos (Sameer y Jared) y The Grove (Pat Seals). En 2005 Flyleaf sacó a la luz su primer álbum de larga duración de la mano del aclamado productor <strong>Howard Benson</strong>, que anteriormente ha trabajado con bandas de la talla de <strong>Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, POD</strong> y <strong>All American Rejects</strong>. Antes del álbum la banda tuvo que cambiar de nombre de "Passerby" a "Flyleaf", ya que otra banda ya había registrado el nombre.
